17 year old Jake has just completed his first year studying BTec Music. He uses Braille and a screen reader to access learning.
His main instrument is the piano, with lessons paid for by Amber, and he has made excellent progress, working towards Grade 3 and performing both solo and ensemble pieces in school concerts during the year.
His father says: ‘funding from The Amber Trust has not only seen him developing as a pianist, it is enabling him to increase his overall confidence and coordination in day to day life’.
