The Amber Trust appoints Annabel Martin as CEO

Anni Martin CEO at her deskThe Amber Trust is delighted to announce that Anni Martin has been appointed as Amber’s first CEO from 1 November 2019. Over the last five years, Amber’s income has increased threefold and it now provides musical opportunities directly to more than 500 blind and partially sighted children and young people across the UK, as well as indirectly to many 100s of others.

Anni has already played a major role in these exciting new developments. She was instrumental in developing the innovative Little Amber and AmberPlus programmes and, since July 2018, has been Director of Music Services for the Trust. Before that, Anni had wide-ranging experience in the charitable sector as a Finance and Business Development Manager for the RNIB, as Acting Head of Finance at Autism Sussex and working for Dyfed Drug and Alcohol Service.

Amber’s Chair Julia Walport says: “I have worked increasingly closely with Anni over the last three years and could not be more delighted that she has agreed to become Amber’s CEO, working with a small team and the trustees to deliver Amber’s vision for blind and partially sighted children throughout the UK. Anni combines excellent management and financial skills with considerable experience of working with families whose children have additional needs. Anni has already achieved so much for Amber, developing and running the music service programmes, building strong relationships with families, music practitioners and schools whilst managing the grants and is a delight to work with. I look forward to working more closely with her in the future.”
