To wrap up another year, we asked the families supported by The Amber Trust whether they would like to send us any ‘Musical Moments of 2022’ to share with our supporters.
It really makes our day to when we receive a video, photo, or general update from our Amber families, and we were over the moon with all of the submissions that have come through to us.
Each week, we will post a round-up of the submissions that we are sharing on our social media accounts. You can find The Amber Trust on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram – come and say hello!
Nikhil
Nikhil’s Musical Moment of 2022 is this upbeat performance of ‘What Makes You Beautiful’!
Nikhli took centre stage at his Indian community’s Diwali function in November in front of 250 people.
Well done, Nikhil, a great performance in front of a large audience!
Chapman
For Chapman’s Musical Moments of 2022, his family have selected his piano solo recital debut. The recital was held at Westminster Music Library in August.
Chapman’s father, Regan, said that ‘Chapman received great feedback from the audience. Everyone was so proud of him!’
‘Amber plays a very important role in Chapman’s musical journey, and it makes him less lonely in the process. As parents, Amber has given us the drive and hope when seeing so many young musicians who overcome all sorts of obstacles and embrace what they love. We find this truly inspiring.’
You can watch Chapman’s entire recital and read the full-length interview with Chapman’s family here.
Well done, Chapman!
Ivan
For Ivan’s Musical Moment of 2022, he has chosen to share this creative rendition of ‘O Come All Ye Faithful,’ playing both the cello and organ! Ivan is a very talented musician, but we’re also impressed with his video editing skills!
Ensure you watch to the end for a little festive message from Ivan. 🎄🎅
Ivan is a beautiful musician AND a tennis champion, having won the LTA’s National VI Tennis Finals in 2022 for the third consecutive year, in both the men’s singles and doubles categories.
Well done, Ivan, you’ve achieved so much this year!
Josh
For Josh’s Musical Moment of 2022, his mum, Rose, wanted to share this lovely festive video of Josh playing and singing ‘Away in a Manger.’
Rose hopes that this video will make others smile. It certainly made us smile!
Rose said that Josh is ‘doing so well thanks to the support of The Amber Trust. His speech, interest in world music and various instruments has taken off, and he is well known for bursting into song! Thank you, Amber, for everything you do.’
We’re absolutely delighted to be able to support Josh!
