Stevington Guitar Concerts present a tribute concert to Woody Mann on 22 March 2025. The concert recognises the influence and impact Woody Mann had on musicians all over the world, and particularly in the UK.

The concert features Peter Price, Steve Hicks & Lynn Goulbourn and The Bonas Brothers

Woody Mann was an internationally renowned guitarist, film maker and teacher. As a young man he studied guitar with Reverend Gary Davis a guitarist whose complex playing has influenced modern music.

Woody visited the UK frequently, playing and teaching. He was tremendously supportive of live music and helped musicians wherever they were on their musical journey.

As part of the event, Luthier Simon Hewlett has made a one-of-a-kind guitar, which will be auctioned. The guitar has “In memory of Woody Mann” written in braille as a connection to Reverend Gary Davis.

Proceeds of the concert and the guitar auction will be donated to The Amber Trust to help blind and partially sighted children learn and access music.
