Precious has been an Amber Music Award recipient for just over two years.
18 year-old* Precious has always been passionate about music, particularly composing her own pieces for piano and organ.
Her talent and determination led her to successfully audition for a place to study music at the BRIT School, the UK’s leading performing and creative arts school.
Through the Amber Music Award, Precious has been able to access specialist composition and organ tuition. This tailored support has helped Precious develop her musical skills, build confidence, and continue progressing towards her goals.
Roselle, Precious’ mum, explains, ‘Accessing music opportunities can be challenging when you are blind or visually impaired. Amber’s support has given Precious a huge confidence boost – it’s wonderful to feel that someone believes in her. We are incredibly grateful for the support.’
With Amber’s support, Precious has taken a significant step towards her future goals. She was offered places at five Conservatoires and has accepted a place with a full scholarship at Trinity Laban.
Precious hopes to pursue a career as a composer and performer, continuing to share her love of music through both creating and performing her own work.
