15 year-old Chapman was born with a rare condition that caused blindness, he also lives with complex disabilities including autism, learning and speech difficulties, and hearing loss. Despite these challenges, music has become his greatest passion and clearest form of expression. Chapman has been supported by Amber since he was 11 years old.
Chapman is currently preparing for his LTCL diploma (level 6, equivalent in finishing the final year of an undergraduate degree) with a demanding and varied programme. He is also a Junior Conservatoire student at Trinity Laban, where he is the first blind and neurodivergent student in the junior department.
Recently, Chapman was featured in Channel 4’s piano programme, representing the UK and won three awards at the International Music Competition for the Visually Impaired in Taiwan.
Chapman has been performing widely both in the UK and internationally, including at events such as the “BBC Make a Difference Awards Ceremony and The Oska Bright Film Festival Opening Ceremony.

Chapman has also performed in the US, Solvenia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, and in early 2026 he was featured as the cover story of Piano Professional magazine.
Chapman has also extended his musical interests beyond performance into improvisation and composition. Some of his original music has been featured on BBC Radio London and a Taiwan radio programme. He also recently created and performed a short piece for Her Majesty The Queen at The Amber Trust’s 30th Anniversary Celebration at Clarence House, in the presence of The Queen.
